Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
Daili ("DailiWell," "we," "us," or "our") helps you understand your wellness through short daily check-ins. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Daili so that you stay in control of your data at every step.
The short version: Your individual check-ins, journal entries, and symptoms are private to you. Providers only ever see anonymized, aggregated trends — never your individual entries — unless you explicitly opt in. We never sell your personal data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you create an account. If you join through an employer, provider, or community, we may also record that affiliation.
- Profile details: Optional information such as age range, gender, and location region that help contextualize your insights and community comparisons.
- Wellness check-ins: The ratings you submit (such as energy, mood, stress, sleep, pain, hydration, and motivation), any symptoms you log, and free-text journal notes you choose to write.
- Engagement data: Your check-in streaks, Daili Points, completed challenges, reward redemptions, and notification activity.
- Connected device data: If you choose to connect a wearable device such as an Apple Watch, we receive the health metrics you authorize (for example daily sleep, activity, and heart-rate data). This data is read on your device with your permission and synced through our wearables provider, Rook. You control this connection and can disconnect it at any time.
- Technical data: Standard information such as device type, browser, and usage logs used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide your daily check-ins, wellness domain scores, trends, and personalized insights.
- Power features like Daili Points, challenges, rewards, streaks, and notifications.
- Generate anonymized, aggregated community insights that show how wellness trends compare across groups.
- Deliver wellness tips and educational content from providers you are connected to, when you have opted in to receive them.
- Send service communications, such as check-in reminders, that you can turn off at any time.
- Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the service.
We do not use your individual check-ins or journal entries to make automated medical decisions, and Daili is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. How Your Data Is Shared
You decide what you share. By default, your individual data stays private to you. The sharing options available in your Privacy & sharing settings include:
- Anonymous community insights: Contributes your data in an anonymized, aggregated form so you and others can see broader wellness trends. Individuals cannot be identified from these aggregates.
- Provider aggregate sharing: Lets a connected provider see anonymized, aggregated trends for their member population — never your individual check-ins.
- Journal sharing: Off by default. When enabled, allows the specific entries you choose to be shared with a connected provider.
- Treatment outcome sharing: Off by default. When enabled, helps a provider understand how their treatments relate to your wellness over time.
We also work with trusted service providers (such as cloud hosting, database, and email delivery vendors) who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
We never sell your personal information.
4. Connected Devices
Connecting a wearable is entirely optional. When you connect a device such as an Apple Watch, you authorize Daili to retrieve specific health metrics through our wearables provider, Rook, which reads the data from Apple Health on your device with your permission. You can revoke access and disconnect the device at any time from your profile. Disconnecting stops future syncing; previously synced metrics can be deleted on request.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and control: You can view and update your profile and sharing preferences at any time in your account settings.
- Opt out: You can disable any sharing setting, turn off notifications and reminders, and disconnect devices whenever you like.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to limited legal retention requirements.
- Regional rights: Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or restrict processing of your data. We honor valid requests in accordance with applicable law.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, secure password hashing, and encrypted storage of sensitive credentials such as device authorization tokens. Access to personal data is restricted and scoped to each individual user. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
Daili is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of Daili after an update means you accept the revised policy.
10. Contact Us
If you have questions about this policy or your data, please reach out to us at [email protected]. You can also manage your sharing preferences anytime from your Privacy & sharing settings.
This Privacy Policy is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. Daili does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional.
